Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management has produced a short video filled with tips about how to protect yourself during a thunderstorm. More than 500 people are injured by lightning strikes every year. Recently a young boy was killed just south of Fairfax County while playing catch with a friend – and then lightning struck.
